Yesterday was a rainy day and I thought the perfect day to finally fix my leaking bathroom faucet. First I was reading you can just replace the cartridge. I had never done this before but let's give it a try. It was quite easy.
On my way to Ace.
Ace didn't have my cartridge but sent me to a plumbing store. Nope, they didn't have it either. They told me to replace the faucet. Great, on to Home Depot. I picked out a brushed silver faucet for markdown to $99. Great let's get this replaced.
I loosened the current one handle faucet only to discover I needed hoses. Argh!! I was done for the day.
The rain turned to snow as a storm and winds moved through last night. This morning it was cold and icy. So of course I wanted to try the recipe I picked out. Chocolate Caramel Bars.
New day hopefully better luck.
I followed the recipe to make caramel.
I put the base down and baked.
Top with chocolate chips and the caramel.
Another top layer
Looks pretty.
Tastes ok.
I won't make again. Not a favorite.
Here's the ingredients: light brown sugar, butter, flour, baking soda, salt, quick oats, chips and caramel.
No vanilla or flavoring - and that is what it tastes like.
The chocolate and caramel are good.
After baking I needed the pan to cool so let's finish this stupid faucet.
One trip to Ace and the had the hoses. Less than an hour and the faucet was in.
I like the new design.
I do not know how to change the drain/stopper thing so I will be letting Chris know I need help.
No more drips. One bake down.
Until tomorrow.
