First of all, I may be a snippy because I have lost an hour of sleep. I hate day light savings. So I apologize now.
Today I went to the Arabia Steamboat Museum. I had put this one off. I wasn't sure if I would be interested and it costs $16.50 plus tax. One other note - For the past 6 months I have been exploring and most of the time I'm by myself. Today there were lots of people everywhere.
Five men started looking for steamboat wrecks. The Arabia was the second one they looked for and found. The museum tells their story and holds the items that they found with the steamboat. These treasure hunters hit the jackpot.
Everyone survived the wreck except for a donkey.
This is the steamboat.
Part of an engine.
This is part of the steam boat they were able to save.

After the museum I walked over to the Opera House Bakery.
This is really a restaurant and bakery.
This is what I picked out. A lemon maroon and red velvet cupcake.
The cupcake is huge. Probably double a normal size cupcake. Their bakery display is on the smaller size but stocked with wonderful looking desserts. I have tried the the cupcake and it is great. The frosting is amazing. They are a little pricey but being across the street from River Market I expected that. (Cupcake $4.95) Just a wonderful place. I will be back.
Until tomorrow.
