I had 2 goals for today - Walt Disney and M & M Bakery. Both are in the North Hyde Park neighborhood. I found so much more. First is Walt Disney's first studio.
Some of the windows have been replaced.
The building is in terrible condition.
They want to make this a Walt Disney Museum. They have a long way to go.
It was so sad. There were many buildings in this condition. There was also beauty.
This was my selection. The sticky bun was awesome. I haven't tried the brownie cupcake or cookie. By the way I have never heard of a brownie cupcake. I'm so glad I have changed that now. This bakery is amazing. From reading reviews they also make great sandwiches. They don't have tables - it's a to-go place.
Around the corner I found this beauty. Heartland Presbytery.
The towers are on the corners of the street with the church in between.
This was a surprise. Robert J. Mohart Multi-Purpose Center. Built in 1908.
KC Scottish Rite Temple. I was looking for this one.
Built in 1930.
This building is across the street from the Scottish Rite.
So I'm driving down Linwood looking for the next place on my list and I find the KC Police Station with artwork. So of course I stop. I'm not sure what it is or what it represents.

There are so many murals in Kansas City.

That's it for today. I have to go back. There were several things I saw I wanted to grab a picture of but I kept going thinking I could grab the pictures on the way back. I couldn't find them. They disappeared. There are murals everywhere in this city and North Hyde Park has many.
I'm writing this at 12:30. I have ate the sticky bun. So very, very good!! I was able to drive home without Google. I'm so proud of that. Every time I cross one thing off my list I add 3 more. That's happened today too.
