I almost forgot to post today. I've been playing around with the fireplace.
The adventure today is really from yesterday. Before the tour of the Thomas Hart Benton house yesterday the guide and I trespassed to the house next door - The Clarence Sondern House built by Frank Lloyd Wright.
It was built as a 900 sq ft house but Mr. Wright was asked to come back.
It's now 3000 sq ft.
This is crossing the back yard.
This is the view from the driveway.
The house was recently sold to a person from Omaha. It is being gutted now. Strange thing - The Frank Lloyd Wright group from Wichita is coming up to Kansas City to tour the Thomas Hart Benton home and the new owner from Omaha will be giving them a tour of this house too.
This is the house directly across the street from the Benton house.
It just sold for over $1 million.
This is the house next door.
They didn't have a name posted.
This was in the bush and trees.
This is the Roanoke neighborhood. There is a walking tour that I will be going on later - when the weather is nicer. Hopefully we can find out all of the house's names.
Today was my last Tuesday class. The classes are being shuffled around starting next week. I will have to pick new classes.
I hope to go fountain hunting tomorrow morning before the heat.
Until tomorrow.
