I confess I am a puzzler. I put at least 1 puzzle together every week. I usually buy used puzzles from thrift store, garage sales, or estate sales. I typically don't keep puzzles after I put them together. I would have a house full of puzzles. If I put a puzzle together and it's missing pieces it goes in the craft pile or trash.
So this is my puzzle piece bowl story. I started be following these instructions. Very good instructions but of course I had some issues.
It started out really great.
I begin adding pieces and the problems start. The pieces with glue slide all over the place. So I would tilt the balloon a different way to put more on and every piece would slide off. I quickly discovered you have to put on a section and let it dry. This little project took 5 days.
I added a couple of sections a day. One more problem until you get enough pieces added for the bowl shape its so heavy on one side the balloon tilt on its own. Most of the time I was adding pieces while holding the balloon on my lap.
Once you have the shape of the bowl the tilting is over. Then you just have the sliding issue.

After you cover the balloon face down you start covering face up.
And you rotate and keep covering.
On the fifth day I was ready to take out the balloon.
I wanted a slow deflate.
This is my finished bowl.
Okay, it was more difficult than I thought but I like the finished product. I'm not sure what I will do with it but I made it.
