Today we are exploring the 18th and Vine. There are 2 museums here and we are starting at the Jazz Museum.
18th and Vine Christmas Tree
This is the Charlie Parker Memorial behind the Jazz Museum. This sculpture was made by Robert Graham. He has several sculptures across the US.
Charlie's head is massive.
Also behind the Jazz Museum.
These are for the Jazz Walk of Fame.
They are all down the side.
A rebuilt theater across the street. They kept the front piece and rebuilt everything else.
Art work.
The is the entrance to the museums: Jazz Museum, Baseball Museum, Vistors Center and Kemper Art Museum has an exhibition too.
The museum was very nice. $10 admission. You could have stayed in this museum for hours listening to jazz. They have lots of stations by artist to listen to songs. It's not too big but the information and songs don't take much room.
Ok here is my story for the day. I plan out my trips on google maps and add multiple stops. So I had a few more things planned for today but google and I were talking and she wasn't listening. So I was pushing on my phone and she stopped talking. She erased the rest of my stops! We definitely have a love/hate relationship. I'll pick up the other stops another day.
Until our next adventure.
