It's in the 60's today so I decided to do something outside. I went to the Forest Hill Cemetery. So I have read for safety you should not go to a cemetery alone. Don't worry I took my pepper spray. That was not necessary. This is a happening place. There are people everywhere.
This place is huge - 165 acres. I had a list from the cemetery's web site of famous people buried here. I stopped at the office first hoping they had a map of the graves. They don't. I started out with the 2 I really came here for.
John Buck O'Neil
and Leroy Satchel Paige
Satchel Paige even has rules for how to stay young.
Satchel's Wife
Very beautiful head stones.
William Volker. Neighborhood my kids live it.
Mr. Joyce Hall, founder of Hallmark Cards
I asked about Kate Spade but I was told her grave was private. So I came home and looked it up.
After posting these pictures I feel like I didn't do much. Let me explain - I walked and drove around for over 2 hours. The office employees are the nicest, most patient people ever. I have so many maps of this cemetery from the office. It was a nice day. It's a beautiful cemetery.
Google and I continued to battle. I think I could have driven to the cemetery without Google. She better look out.
Until our next adventure.
