I have never seen a groundhog in real life until I moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Chris showed me one once when I was at his house. It lives in the park near his house.
In the past 12 hours 2 photos have been posted on the neighborhood association.
They are a little smaller than Charlie.
So I thought that was weird that 2 people posted pictures yesterday. Then today, about 2:00, I was coming home from Price Chopper and the car in front of me stopped. There was something in the road - something furry. Just like in the first picture it was trying to be as flat as possible on the road. Then it stood up and ran across our lane and into a yard. He stood there giving us a dirty look. I wish I had been quicker and could have got a picture.
They must be active during this time of the year.
