After walking around the Kemper Museum Block Party I waited to join the Arterie Tour. The street car will stop a block away on Main for the Kemper Museum, Kansas City Art Institute and the Nelson-Atkins Museum.
First, we walked to Main Street.
Across the street is an empty lot which was once a Holiday Inn.
It will soon be developed, they hope. They would like it to be something doing with art.
They also plan on either food truck parking spaces or restaurants
The museums will mark their museums.
The path will also be painted or somehow decorated so you know where to walk.
More decorated than this.
At this time you will cross the street one more time to the Nelson-Atkins.
That is where it is ending at this time. It will be expanded in the future.
That was the end of the tour. I can't wait for this to be done. I wish they would get started. That would have been so nice when I first moved here and didn't realize how small Kansas City Downtown / Midtown is. This path seems to have a lot of interest and support right now.
One other note - everytime this guy stopped to talk and answer questions it was in full sun. We would walk by shade to stop in the sun. I was melting with short sleeves and capris on. This guy has a jacket on. I would have passed out.
Until tomorrow.
