KCAI Gallery

This is one of the last stops for Saturday.    The Arterie tour ended on the campus of Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI) at the intersection that will be crossed to go to the Nelson-Atkins.  I stood in the hot sun for awhile listening until I could not stand in the oppressive heat any longer.  When we were crossing the campus our guide told us they had an art gallery, restaurant and coffee shop.  What?  An art gallery?

First, the students had put art out on the lawn.

Hut?

Goat?

I have no idea

This was my favorite.

Yes, they have an art gallery.

This was one of my favorites.
I'm not sure what you would do with it.

I loved the details.

It's really neat when other people are there.
Remember I usually go during the week and often I'm the only person.

She caught my eye.

They defiantly had different types of art.
It was all made by the students.

KCAI's claim to fame is one student, Walt Disney, and one teacher, Thomas Hart Benton.  I really like the campus and the atmosphere.  The tour guide said it is a four year college.

I went through the gallery and the tour was still standing in the sun.  I enjoyed the tour and hearing the plans but not that much.

I walked back to the Kemper's overflow parking.  I drove home and took Charlie for a walk then just sat and cooled off.

Tomorrow we will finish up Saturday's adventures.
