Yes, today I gave in to my attraction to historic building. Yes, I have issues.
Anderson Electric Car Company Building
3420 S. Main
ABC Storage and Van Company
3244 S. Main
I did not find history of these 2 buildings but I did find an article from May 2022 with a company who is redeveloping both buildings into 50-60 apartments with a rooftop cafe. Both buildings were added to the National Registry of Historic in December 2022. There are tax breaks for rental on the National Registry list.

Side View of the Bellerive Hotel - now apartments
214 E. Armour
Kansas City's newest and largest apartment hotel, the Bellerive (200 apartments, some with five rooms), was formally opened Nov. 9, 1922. There was a spacious lobby and there were six dining rooms, one public and five private. Four maids were assigned to each floor day and night. The night maids took care of the turn-downs in each bedroom and placed a small glass pitcher of ice water on the night stand. Guests were not permitted to go up the front elevator with packages. Upon entering the hotel, packages were handed to the doorman, who in turn gave them to the bellman, who took them up in the service elevator. Many celebrities stayed at the Bellerive over the years. Ernestine Schumann-Heink was there in the 20s. Later came Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, Mary Pickford and Buddy Rogers, Jeanette McDonald, Lillian and Dorothy Gish, Lily Pons, Marian Anderson and Dame Edith Sitwell and Sir Osbert Sitwell.
Kansas City Nation Guard Armory
3620 Main St
It served as a National Guard Armory for the 110th Engineers combat battalion starting in 1922 and until 1973. In the 80s the facility served as a boxing venue and gym, and not long after became the Langer Automotive Museum.
The article I talked about earlier in this post stated the company would like to turn this building into apartments and retail space.

3732 Main St
In the 1960s the building 3732 Main was home to the Boom Boom Room, a popular 18 and under club. Later it became a country and western dance hall.
I can't find any other history on the building.
Monarch Storage Warehouse at 3829 Main,
The Monarch Building was designed in 1921 by architect C. B. Sloan, and the metal facade on the lower two levels was added in 1963. The building also housed the American White Goods Company.
I had fun walking up and down Main. I would park and walk north for a block back to the car then south for a block and back to the car. Then moved the car to the new location. There are many more buildings on Main Street. I only take pictures of the buildings I like. I can not get this paragraph to align to the left. Sorry about that. I have tried all of my tricks.
Until tomorrow.
