Last post about the 9th street historic district.
First stop:
This is an unknown building.
Armourdale Foundry Co
Kansas City, Mo
I can't find anything about this company or building. I think the posts might need some repairs.
Next Stop: New England Building
When this building was built in 1888, it was the tallest building in Kansas City.
This was the original home of the New England Mutual Life Insurance Company.
It had 57 fireplaces, 2 elevators, and two walk-in safes on each floor.
Later the building was used by TWA.
Today it is a residential building.
I love these arched doorways.
Yes, I was looking through windows again.
This has a Latin phrase: Qui Transtulit Sustinet
Which means - He who transplanted still sustains.
Such a nice building.
Last stop - Frankel, Frank and Company Building
I know it's been 3 days of one area but it was so much fun. I also have typed this post twice. I pushed the space bar and the whole post disappeared and I could not get it back!!
Until tomorrow
