The exploration of Swope Park had to include Swope Park Memorial. I found it on the map but could I really find it without getting lost? Kind of. On the way to the Swope Memorial I found this pond.
It was just breath taking.
Then I took a wrong turn but finally I accidentally made it to the right spot.
I found the stairs.
I find it.
It's just beautiful
This is the view looking over the fountain across the park.
Just look at that view.
This is where Col. Swope is buried.
I couldn't get a good picture of the actual grave because of the sun.
The lions guard him.
Col Swope's death is still an unsolved mystery.
He left his fortune to his niece. It is thought that her husband killed several people in the family.
First Swope's cousin, then 2 days later Swope, then a nephew.
Bennett Clark Hyde was convicted of the murders, and then later it was overturned.
This is at the top of the hill.
An art installation called An Architectural Folly from a Future Place, 2018.
Update: I got all 3 of my shots today. Still feeling fine. I might even try an exercise class tomorrow.
Until tomorrow.
