A Visit to the Zoo

I went to the zoo in search of several historical sites in Swope Park plus some public art.  In process I found other statues.

This zoo is having the Glowild right now.

Big Lizard in front of the orangutans

Off to the side was an orangutan

Polar Bear

In front of the polar bear.  He was playing and having a blast.

These bears are near the entrance.

They are so cute.

This was one of the things I was looking for.
Harry Evans Minty Memorial Fountain, 1974

Fishing Rock
A public art sculpture I was looking for

I rode the train too.

Another thing I was looking for,
Mary A. Fraser Memorial Drinking Fountain.

It's in a corner and not seen but many people.
I saw it while I was on the train.

This is called Strange, Strange Sam

I look for it everywhere.  It's outside the entrance.
Public Art

This finishes up  Swope Park.  At nearly 1800 acres it took forever to explore and I'm sure I missed many things.

Until tomorrow.
