Dr. Martin Luther King Park and other sites

Today we started out at Dr. Martin Luther King Park.  My first impressions were good.  There were people here enjoying the park.

Once again sign language

I'm walking to the playground and I come to this.

Look at this place!  I wanted to play.

It makes music.

New style merry-go-round.
Chris and I were talking about merry-go-rounds the other day.
They have been removed from playgrounds.

What a view.

In all fairness I must tell you I did play and it was fun.  This is the best playground I have seen in any park.

Frances Willard Elementary School, 1910.
This was on google maps as a historical site.
The school has torn down.  No marker.

Next was Blue Hill Park.
Nice, clean park with a playground.

Our last stop is the Thomas J. Kiely Park.
This is just a corner park along a busy street.

Part of the walking path is under water.

I'm not sure what this is.
Must be art.

I believe this is the Fitzsimon-Battlefield Monument.
According to google I was standing in the right place.
No marker.

The MLK Park spoiled all the others for me.  That park is great.  I loved playing on the playground.  Today was a lot of fun.

Only 202 parks left.  It will be hard to beat the MLK playground.

Until tomorrow.
