First Golf Course and Hyde Park

Today I finished up the Midtown Walking Tour.  By the way I drove.  I decided to forget the business stop I missed yesterday.

The is William Francis Shelley House, 1889.

This is the first golf course in Kansas City.  1894

Today this is Hyde Park.

Me in the wind.

I found this.

Here is the tree.

The park is beautiful.  It's a bowl of sorts.  Stairs lead down with high edges.

They have a butterfly garden.

It has a small playground.

This is a wonderful park.  On the scale of the Kansas City, MO parks I have visited it's on the smaller size.  I think the hardest part about going to this park would be finding the stairs and if you are driving a place to park.  There were people in the park and I felt safe.  On the ID channel scale of safeness this park would fail.  With the bowl effect I don't know how safe it really is.

The park is surrounded by more mansions.

As I was driving around the block to go home I found this statue in a yard.

Update on the fireplace - mantle is down.  Hopefully starting at the top will be easier.

Tomorrow is for the fireplace.
