Cancer Survivors Park

Today we are snowed in or at least I am.  4-5 inches of snow.  I made a visit on Sunday so I could share today.

This park was established by Richard and Annette Bloch.  Richard Bloch (co-founder of H & R Block) was diagnosed with cancer twice.  It has 3 parts: a Positive Mental Attitude Walk, Celebration of Life Plaza, and a Road to Recovery.  There are 24 Bloch Cancer Survivors Park across the U.S.

This is lite at night.

Positive Mental Attitude Walk

The walk is lined with 14 signs of positive thoughts.

From Plaque inside: This Arch of Triumph is the highest point of the park, reached after the acceptance plaza and the positive mental attitude walk; it represents a passage where one is symbolically in charge of their own life again from here two ceremonial ramps descend around the garden of names toward the celebration of life plaza.  Life extends its red carpet for those who have reached the realization.

The Park ends with a sculpture called Cancer ...there's hope.

This is a lovely park.  I do not know many people who have not been touched by cancer.  I hope people can find peace here.

Until our next adventure.
