I started off in search of a park. My research said it was The Overlook at Capital Hill but once I got there it was different.
But it was an overlook that is located on Capital Hill. What a view!
My selfie with Lewis and Clark
Lewis and Clark noted in their journal that they were here.
In the middle of the park was a statue of James Pendergast.
The views from this side of the park were beautiful too.
They arches lead to a path that went down the hill.
It's blocked off now. It's a highway at the bottom.
So on to the next adventure. I have really been excited about this one. I sew and collect buttons. This is my statue. This is officially in the Garment District. Later this week I will be visiting the Garment Museum.
This sign says No Stopping Standing or Parking.
I took this picture of my parked car while stopped to stand in the middle of the street.
This is below a sundial. I thought it was neat.
I found a wreath of Thinkers on a parking garage.
These beautiful windows were at Hotel Savory at 219 9th.
Blue Penguins on their entrance.
The sign said The Museum Hotel so yes I was peeking in the windows and it looked like an art gallery. I went in and asked if I could look around. Why of course, 2 stories of art in this hotel.
This was my favorite.
As I mentioned earlier I'm planning on going to a museum in this area on Thursday. I want to go other places so I will be taking a break. There is just so much in this area. Everything is old and full of history.
Until the next adventure.
