Today I explored the Government District. The whole point of going to this area was one statue but I walked the whole area taking pictures. I was the only person doing this so I might be on several surveillance tapes.
This is the statue I was after. It's between Police Headquarters and the court house. It's called Modern Communication. His fingers are in his ears, tie over his eyes and shoe in his mouth. So on with the tour.
Very touching. The building was gorgeous. It reminded me of a quilt.
In front of the Federal Building I found this statue.
This is a picture of the side of the federal courthouse.
Correctional Center
The jail with some really weird artwork in front of it.
Oh look - they are hiring!!
The T-Mobile Center
Andrew Jackson is in front of the Jackson County Courthouse.
Abe Lincoln is in front of the Federal Courthouse.
In front of police headquarters.
A park across the street from city hall.
City Hall looks like another quilt.
This is Ilus Winfield Davis. He was mayor of Kansas City from 1963-1971.
So by now I was getting pretty cold. It was 48 degrees. The rest of the walk I sped up.
2018 - Quick history of Kansas City.
U.S. Courthouse. Across the park from City Hall.
A bunch of hands for the Bill of Rights.
So by now I was so happy I knew where my car was. I'm also happy to report I made it home. New streets even. It was a fun morning. I found a lot of statues.
I have watched Us on prime. It was actually a great short series.
I have warmed up and will be cross stitching for a while today. I hope to report soon I have finished my project. Thanks for reading!

Looks like you are having a good time in retirement! I can’t wait to see what you explore next!
