Saturday I just couldn't decide what to do. Most of the festivals were Christmas lights. I really couldn't find anything. So I ran across a post on Facebook about the Kansas City Museum. The more I looked, it has limited hours so decision made.
The museum is located in the northeast part of Kansas City. The museum is in a house. Oh my, beautiful does not describe this house or neighborhood. You have to park on the street. (It's a house.) On my walk to the entrance I passed this. Scarritt Point sign. The view of downtown was beautiful.
So I finally get to the house.
Wow.
The first floor is for the family who built the house. Mr. R. A. Long. The second floor is about Kansas City.
So I finish and start driving home. Not far from the museum I see this building and pull over. On the map it says The Colonnade.
This looks down to the same park that I saw blocks away at the museum.
There was also a memorial to John F. Kennedy with an eternal flame.
I see this down the block. So of course I cross the street and walk onto the circle. It's for Senator Thomas Hart Benton. I haven't looked him up and don't know anything about him. But he has a traffic circle.
This might be the time to mention that I get honked at when I drive and when I walk down the middle of the street.
This is my first cross stitch finish since moving. I made 2. Waiting for a charm to arrive. I love my turkeys.
See ya Monday.
