I have signed up for an adventure assignment each week. This week it was to Get in the Spirit. There were several suggestions but I selected Union Station. It was already on my list to visit. Their display is called Home for the Holidays.
But let's start at the beginning. I needed to park. The place was packed so I went to the side lot. There was a line of people paying so I waited. When it was my turn I was being charged $15 for a 24 hour parking spot. I only needed an hour or two so I cancelled and got back in line. I watched. Everyone was paying $15 bucks. I sucked it up and paid.
NOTE: My son later told me to park in the garage. You pay by the hour in there.
These 3 pictures are from the outer hall. Just beautifully decorated. I couldn't wait to see the display. So I paid my $7.70 and went into join the celebration.

I loved it.
In the back of the hall is a permanent display of trains. So of course they were decorated with a Christmas Village.
This is part of the regular display.
I was still a little miffed about the $15 parking so I felt a visit to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory was in order. A cookie made it better.
I walked back to my car and noticed this building across the street. Isn't it just lovely? I had to find out what it was used for. It's the IRS.
My son and I went to 4 grocery stores after Union Station. He was needing specific things for Thanksgiving. It was fabulous to spend time with him.
Happy Thanksgiving!
