Yesterday before I found out it was a holiday weekend I went to the opening of Morning Rounds Bakery. It is owned by a former nurse. During the opening weekend some of the money is donated to Children's Mercy Hospital.
I parked around the corner but I knew I was in the right place.

I feared the line was out the door.
It was not but it was long..
They must have listening to the music.
They were out of chocolate croissants and most other things.
This is what I ended up with.
I took it to the kids.
I tried the Blooming breakfast muffin. The kids could tell what was in it but mostly I tasted a very strong orange flavor. I also took the frosted sugar cookie which was very good. It was a nice place but I won't drive just to go there. If I'm in the area I would stop again.
