If you remember I have told you multiple times everything in Kansas City is uphill. There are so many stairs I thought I might start showing them to you.
The stairs were built in 1941 by the Public Works Department.
The stairs were built as a shortcut for students needing to get to the school which is behind me.
There is a group wanting to develop this area as a whole workout area.
I copied this picture from the internet.
I did not walk up/down stairs.
The letters in the middle spell Paseo.
My brilliant excuse for not using the stairs? I parked at the school which had over 10 signs saying no public parking. I couldn't leave my car.
Besides the redevelopment other groups are working to preserve the stairs. No work has been done on them since 1941.
