Road Roller Day 2025

Today we went to the Road Roller Day 2025 at Kansas City Art Institute.  As I was reading about the event it was described as liked by children.  That describes all the retired people I know - big kids.

This is what I saw when I walked up.
There was not a large crowd but there were other people like me watching.

2 large woodblocks are put down.
They already covered with ink.

They are covered with a white cloth.
I thought it looked like a sheet.

The sheet is covered by a blanket.

One of the students gets a chance to drive the road roller.

He drives over everything.

He backs up over it.
The kids are clapping.

Everything is taken off.

The print.

I'm glad I went to KCAI to see this.  I do not plan on returning next year.  It wasn't that fun.  What I enjoyed the most was seeing the kids react.  There was lots of clapping and encouragement for the driver.  If this is your hobby please forgive me for not knowing the terms for print making.

Until tomorrow.
