Today I signed up to participate in the KC Cleanup Day. I volunteered for the Plaza area.
I parked by the bunnies.
There were probably 30 people at 10.
I think more kept showing up because we saw people carrying blue bags everywhere.
I left at 11 and this was the amount of trash at time.
We were divided into groups of 4 people. We walked from the Plaza to Troost picking up trash along Brush Creek. Other people went to the parks around the Plaza. 2 of the ladies on my team both wanted to be leaders so I just wondered behind them. Our 4th person just went off on his own.
It was fun helping clean the park and the creek. The creek is so dirty. They are doing another clean up for Earth Day on Tuesday but I haven't signed up for that one yet.
