This was the last week for the Yes & exhibit at the Central Library. So of course I needed to get there.
This exhibit is paper/magazines with paint.
This is a close up of the card.
The flowers were very cool.
I have 2 favorites. This one
and this one.
I also did the scavenger hunt (the one they made for kids)
I found the $50 bill issued by the bank that once owned this building.
I found the skylight on the 3rd floor.
I found the 3rd floor clock.
Commemorative Plate 2012
I found the cabinet of old metal banks.
I found the Clavinova.
Plate for the original library at 9th and Locust
I found the 5th floor clock.
I just wandered around the five floors looking for things that somehow I missed before.
On the 5th floor they was also an exhibit about highway 71. They tore down African American neighborhoods to build this highway. Many of the people relocated east of highway 71 and it became a racial dividing line. Still today they are trying to reconnect both sides.
I enjoy this library so much.
Until tomorrow.
