African American Heritage Trail Stop + 1 Native Son and Daughter Sign

This was a messed up day.  I knew I wanted to pickup the lone African American Heritage Trail stop in West Bottoms but I was looking at google maps and got confused.  I thought the stop was near Union Station not West Bottoms.  Here was the problem - once upon a time there was a Union Station in the West Bottoms.  It was torn down.  I was confused.  Finally it all became clear.

Underground Railroad - This area was one of the most contested areas during the civil war.  Missouri was a slave state with most of the people living in Missouri against slavery.  Missouri was surrounded by 4 free states/territories.  Many slaves in Missouri were able to escape through the underground railroad.

This area is surrounded by bridges.

American Royal is moving to Kansas soon.  They are building now.
I'm going to try to get to their museum before they move.

The Bull Wall

I saw this wall during one of my first adventures.
I was nice and a little scared back then and didn't want to trespass.
Now I don't care.

I was on some streets today that I have never seen before.  I was close to lost but google maps did not let me down today.

See ya tomorrow.
