Warm Walking Monday

Smokers and former smokers are encouraged to get a chest CT once a year.  I haven't got one since 2022 but that changed today.  Of course not covered by insurance, cash price is $647.  I had to pay once in Wichita and it was in the 400s so I was okay with the cost.  I remembered when I opened the door that I forgot my prescription and credit card.  Please don't let this be the way today will go.

5 minutes later I was done and decided to explore the area.  I was in the Plaza Library building.  The library will be our first stop.

First I stopped at the puzzle and put together the cactus.

Chiefs are everywhere.

This was the coolest thing.  It's the Wizard of Oz and it spins so you can see it.

The topper.

Carriage and horses in the children's section.

A cow with the Plaza painted on it.

A carved bear

Okay, we are done with the library.

I saw this from one of the library windows.
I think Kansas City has the nicest parking garages.

I walked by the Country Club Bank and remembered they have an art exhibit.

The Artist is Rachelle Gardner-Roe.
The art is fabric and stitches.
This piece was $9,300

$900

A close-up of the flowers and the stitches with layers.

$8000

This one had embellishments.
Beads and sequins.

I won't make you look at all of them.  It was a small one room exhibit.
On down the street.

On the North side of the street - old brick apartment building.
The awning over the door was so neat.

This was one of the bigger buildings.

It had 2 heads watching over it.

One of the few green spaces on the street.

No Dog Walking

I'm going to break here.  I will have to divide today up into 2 posts.  I was walking for over 2 hours and took over 100 pictures. I don't like making the posts too picture heavy.

Until tomorrow.
