It's been a very long process but finally I have a new floor. I bought engineered wood, it's water proof so it will work in my space. This all happened yesterday but I was exhausted.
First they removed all of the carpet
Charlie and I were sitting in the kitchen at this point.
They started laying the floor.
It took awhile but it was finally down.
Then the trim started.
It turned out really great. One thing I'm scared of are scratches. The installers accidently scratched one board then purposely tried to scratch it again. They couldn't get it to scratch. The reviews were mixed on scratches but that is covered under the lifetime warranty.
I'm very happy with the purchase. I'm even happier to unpack again. Yesterday, I got everything out of the bathroom and made sure I had a place go to sleep. Then Charlie and I just collapsed.
This morning we got the bookcases unpacked, relocated, and now they are holding books again. Then I took a break and went to vote. That took 55 minutes. Done.
Back home to continue unpacking.
