Several things at the Nelson-Atkins Museum

I went to the Nelson-Atkins Museum today with one goal, to get inside the Glass Labyrinth.  When I saw it earlier this year during the winter months it was closed.  I thought it was because of the weather.  I was wrong.

A security guard was walking by and stopped.  He explained it was closed because people were using it as an obstacle course.  It would only be open as a guided tour.  The new program of tours starts tomorrow.

Well, that didn't go as planned.  I was also wanting to see the Sparkle! Contemporary Jewelry from Robert Hiller.  I was directed to the exhibit.

Crown

Tiara

Really neat bracelet

The jewelry was beautiful.  It's a small exhibit but just wonderful.

I wanted to see the Hokusai Exhibit of Asian Art.

Mt. Fuji

This piece was gorgeous

Just 4 panels of life.

The details of these panels were so small.

My favorite

Bunches of fish

Flat Vase

Legos - Over 60,000

Then I just wondered toward the entrance.

Scary security guy is still here.

That's all.  Just wandering around the Art Museum.

Until tomorrow
