I had a very late start to our adventure today. There was a company working on someone else's window and I started talking to them and one thing lead to another and I waited till they could come give me an estimate. So after 1 p,m. I finally left.
Our first stop was Frank A. Theis Park. It is directly across the street for the Nelson-Atkins Museum to the south. I parked at the Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden. I had to cross the bridge.
This bridge was the location of William Rockhill Nelson's bridge to his house where the Nelson-Atkins sits now. The driveway was a mile long.

Brush Creek
Frank A Theis Park (Formerly Volker Park).
Free Concerts are held here on the first Sunday of the month June - September.
Volker Memorial Fountain
Someone cut off the arm. Also a leg of another piece.
It's really a pretty fountain. The main part is not turned on.
I'm not sure what happened here. There are 2 fountain below the street.
I found little ducklings that thought I was scary so they swam off.
This is a view of the entire park from the fountain area.
I kept walking to the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center
I just thought this was cool.
Kauffman Legacy Lake
Kauffman Conference Center
I walked around the lake and back out to the street.
Brush creek again
The glass bridge. It's a great view.
Some of the sections are damaged.
Stowers Institute For Medical Research
5 fountains flowing to 2 lower pools.
They also have a garden
It's so nice.
Across the street from UMKC
Back at the Conference Center was another heart.
Heart 6 of 101
Now I crossed the street (again) for our May visit to the Kauffman Memorial Garden. It's suppose to be different each month.
No more tulips
The fountains are on
Kitty is still here
The gardens are full of purple this month.
I found these 3 little fountains too.
I just love this place.
Only walked 2 miles today. I'm not sure what will happen tomorrow. My window and sliding glass door are being fixed. I'm very excited about that. I will post pictures of course.
Until tomorrow.
