Finally back to adventures

Wednesday and Thursday were spent on getting some work done at the condo.  The guys fixed my window, new door, sliding glass door and front door.  All entry points are now fully functional and secure.

Today I went to the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Center.  Before I went in I decided to walk around and see the sites.

Down the side of the building was a Lewis and Clark Historical Marker.
We all know how much I love these.

View across Brush Creek

I decided to cross the bridge to look at the fountain.

I didn't think the bridge looked entirely safe.
It was this way all of the way across.

When I got to the other side - The Sebree Bridge 1923

The scary bridge is really pretty.

The Spirit of Freedom Fountain

Just beautiful.

By the Cultural Center across Brush Creek is the Hillside Fountain.

You get 2 pictures because it is so nice.

Across the street is the Mary Williams Neal Community Center.
They have the coolest pool.

This is a slide through a frog!  So cute!

Back to Brush Creek - There is an island.

Better look of the island.

I have grown much braver with my exploring.  I walked through the Community Center, introduced myself, and asked my questions.  I even picked up some brochures for places I haven't explored yet.  I needed to cross Brush Creek to get back to the Cultural Center but I did not want to use the scary bridge.  I used the newer one.

I'm not sure it was a better choice.

This is a bust of Bruce R. Watkins.
This is so well made it was amazing.

This month's exhibit is all by male artists.
This is my favorite.

Close up

There was also an exhibit of Buffalo Soldiers.
All African-American regiment formed in 1866.

Our last stop was the Satchel Paige Memorial Stadium.
I could see this from the Cultural Center but I decided to drive.
I just wasn't sure how far away it was.

I should have walked it was less than a block.

I have been exploring things along Brush Creek.  I first wanted to walk the entire path but I'm happy to say I changed my mind.  I think one more day will finish it up.  Not everything up the majority.

I will not be doing any projects with the handyman next week.  I need to finish my paint touch-ups to get caught up before I start any new areas.  There are 3 things I want to do tomorrow.  I'm still not sure what the adventure will be.  I have planned out next week's adventures.  It should be fun.

Until tomorrow.

Really out of my comfort zone but tonight I went a wine tasting.   The HOA president told me about it last Friday. I walk to the end of the...
