Today took me into the country to Bonner Springs. I would tell you I don't plan on going there again but they have about 5 more things I want to see. We started here at the Moon Marble Company.
It's actually a large building right along the road.
I got to watch a demonstration. He made a shooter marble.
He heats or melts the glass then uses molds to form the shape.
He would bring the marble to the light to see the colors.
Inside the store. It's just full of marbles, games and other stuff.
I walked away with 2 marbles. The local artist's creations are sold for hundreds or more. I got one they ordered for $3 and one that says Moon Marble for $3.50. This was a long drive but a very neat store. I have never seen a marble be created before. He said they are made by machines most of the time now.
I have been going through things in preparation for painting. I have piles everywhere at the moment. Stuff for thrift, trash, and a pile to sort through. I need to get some furniture ready to sell. Oh, I have changed paint colors again. Same color just a different shade and brand.
