Today I did one of the adventurer's email suggestions for Women's History Month. I went to the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center. I got there before they opened so I walked around to explore more.
The gallery is located in this group of building. There are actually several.

I didn't even see this at first. Pole twisting into the tree
This is on the Mid-America Arts Alliance Front. From what I was reading it represents women.

Train Depot
There is a train running by but that is the back of Union Station
By now the gallery had opened so I went in. Most of these were for sale.
I loved these one fashion ones
I had to take a picture. These are I think 2" boxes. Painted white with a gold block. $75 each
I liked this one but not sure what you would do with it
Look at this necklace
I walked back to my car and noticed Town-Topic was a block away. It's been around Kansas City for 85 years. It was lunch time so I decided to try one. The inside is a counter diner. I got a cheeseburger for $5.25. It was good.
Tomorrow I will be posting the rest of the Sculpture Garden. I have big plans - I will be buying a trash can. Not to worry I will take a picture. I also have 3 bags to take to the thrift store. Slowly I'm getting through all my stuff.
Until tomorrow.
