I noticed in one of my emails that an exhibit was closing next week at the Nelson Atkins. I had not seen this one so of course I had to go. In fairness, I haven't seen much of the museum yet. It's so big. Today I started at the Eyelyn Hofter Eyes on the City exhibit. Evelyn Hofer is a photographer who traveled the world. Some of my favorites:
Springtime
Gravediggers
Forgot to get the title
Then I went next door to the Cities Are For People. This was my favorite of that exhibit.
Child with toy hand grenade in Central Park
I know I might be a little weird.
I had 2 items that I loved today. This guy is beautiful. The whole thing is beaded.
I do a lot of beading with cross stitch but wow. I can' t even imagine doing this. It was taller than me.
This is my other favorite. Ceramic flower. This is also oversized. Probably 2 feet long, the flower itself is huge. I would love to be able to do this.
That's it for today. I bought the thread I need to finish my cross stitch. I was shocked to see the sales tax is 9.98%. I know I have been here for 3 months but I never paid attention before. Charlie and I will be crafting today. We'll see what I can dream up for tomorrow.
