Last night my wonderful kids took me out to the Westport Cafe. It's number 5 on the list of Best Restaurants in Kansas City.
I went back today to get an outside picture.
Dinner. WestPort Cheeseburger
Dessert. Madeleines.
Dinner was the best. I always have fun with my kids.
Today I was going to start on murals but I'm easily distracted. I saw a park between 42nd and 43rd and Broadway. It is the Vietnam Veterans Park.
50th Anniversary of Vietnam War
There's a fountain so I will have to come back after winter.
This is the wall.
It was very nice. I bet with the fountains it is beautiful.
Across the street at 43rd and Broadway I found a historic marker. It's for the Mill Creek Viaduct. It was torn down. I think this bridge would made this intersection better.
On the other side at 42nd and Broadway, even the business has a mural.
Mahomes is everywhere.
I walked past a new building. They put sea horses under the windows.
Chiefs Kingdom Mural.
This is where I had planned to start but now its our last stop for today. I was walking around for awhile and it's only 37 degrees and I was getting cold. It's funny when our high was in the negative I would have thought 37 was tropical.
It was a short but cold adventure today. I already have a plan for Saturday and Sunday.
See ya soon.
