Icy Adventure

We woke up to a icy glaze covering everything.  I had planned a very low key adventure but more importantly I needed to go to Price Chopper to get root beer.  My son knew my plans and text me first thing this morning.  He asked me to wait until the ice was melting.  Good Plan.

I took Charlie out at 7:00 and we skated along the commons area to the alley.  There were 3 cars stuck.  They could not get traction.  I talked to one of the people and he told all about it.  So we shuffled back in.

We went out at 10.  It was much better but still mainly icy covered.

By noon it was 33 degrees and ice was melting.  I take off.  The main streets were fine.  There was hardly any traffic.  Most of the cars for my building were still parked and I assume most other people stayed home too.  It was weird.  But I got to Price Chopper and I'm stocked up on root beer and dog food.

I decided with the ice I would cancel the adventure for today.  I had done so well driving with no problems I didn't want to chance it.  I haven't had the best of luck lately.

Charlie is doing better.  He must have smelled Dallas on our little patio.  He kept following a track.  It broke my heart.  He was howling when I got home.  I hope he didn't do that the whole time I was gone. It's a different life for both of us.

I do have a plan for tomorrow.  Hopefully Charlie and I can start adjusting to our new normal.  This weather is crazy too.  At least it's warmer today.
