West Kansas City Westside Bull Arena

We had a great adventure today.  Google and I went everywhere without issues.

We started in Observation Park

Once very grand

Just look at the view.

Andrew Drips Memorial was our next stop.  Andrew Drips 1789-1860.  Fur Trader of the Missouri River and Rocky Mountains.  The other side says Andrew Drips Park.  Kansas City's first park.

While I was here I accidently saw something I had given up on finding.  I couldn't it on any map.

A Bridge crossing the Highway below.  The fence is decorated with birds.

I could see the stop so off I went walking.  I did not realize how far it was.

It's a bull mounted above I-70.

I don't know why but I had to stop here.  FBI Building.

Then we went to the stock yards.

Huge beautiful building.  The owner of the business came out to see what I was doing.

This was just a neat old sign.

The building is dated 1871-1910 .

Just one more stop.

The HyVee Arena.

This is called Bull Wall.  I couldn't get to it without crossing closed gates.  I had just had the owner of the building question me so I chose a distant shot.

In front of the arena is a sundial.

There is also a time capsule.

200 Years of Freedom.  May the light of  liberty always shine on this land. 1976.

It was an uneventful adventure today.  I beat the rain.  Didn't fight with Google.  I found everything on my list and even the bridge I had given up on.  Great Friday!

Until our next adventure.
