Chalk and Walk at City Market

My plan was to stay home and be lazy today.  I wanted to go to the Chalk and Walk yesterday but if everyone remembers my whining - I was melting.  I was sitting here watching the local new (2 different channels) and both had stories about the Chalk and Walk.  I got ready to go.

I'm glad I got up and went.  The designs were amazing.  I can't believe they were made with chalk.

Fountain Hunting in the Heat

 I took the weather lady's word for today and it was a mistake.  The lady who was a holiday fill-in was wearing long sleeves.  Great day with clouds and cooler  temps.  She lied.

We have just started and I'm already melting.  I even put makeup on which was a waste of time.

Goal 3 - The Mill Creek Park Fountain

We have seen this multiple times but yesterday they made the water yellow for Childhood Cancer.

My hair looked nice before the melting.

Quilt Update

This was suppose to be a quilt update.  But you get to hear about my life too.

I did sew on Sunday!

I'm getting a nice pile of blocks.

I believe I have 30 blocks now.

My life update.  Yesterday I stepped on the area rug in my bedroom and it was wet.  I immediately blame Charlie.  I get a towel and started cleaning.  This goes on all day.  I throw the rug away.  Trying to give Charlie a chance I decide to check the utility room.  In my unit the utility room shares a wall with my bedroom.  Guess what?!  The hot water tank belonging to the guy above me is leaking.  I ran into one of the HOA Board Members and he took over.  The water tank has been drained and he is replacing it next week.  I apologize to Charlie.

2 of the boards of the flooring sound squishy.  AAARRRGGGHHH.  I'll  be getting the dehumidifier out of storage.  The flooring is waterproof but I don't want mold under the floor.  I'm not sure how much I can do until the water heater is replaced.

The saving grace with this story is I believe I caught the leak early but wish I had been even earlier.

Milwaukee Delicatessen

On the way back to the car I was hungry so I stopped at the Milwaukee Delicatessen.

It's in the old Cosby Hotel.

Really neat inside.

They have a bar .

I got a turkey panini.

It was wonderful.

City Market Again

 Without having to park at City Market I had much more fun today.

Right away I found a man dressed as a gnome.

This is the China Market that people love. 

I have gone there many times.

The wheel for the steamboat museum.

I went into Candy Wizard.

I'm searching for Brach Royals.

No Royals.

I went next door to the plant shop

They even had cross stitch.

I like the sugar skulls.

Too expensive for me.

Packed as usual

Then I rode the streetcar back to my car.
