Today was an adventure. My parking plan fell through and I trolled the streets at River Market with another million people. I finally found a spot. I hurried down to the river to meet and greet goats.

Goat Greet and Meet
After walking for forever I found the goats.
Kansas City hires the goats to mow this area.
This little baby was eating a bench on the sidewalk.
They were cute.
There are 40 of them.
This area is steep and hard to mow.
Babies for the kids to meet.
I left the goats and began the hike back.
The Missouri River is wide and powerful.
Like the Arkansas it's dirty too.
The adventure will continue later this week.
Until tomorrow.

Kansas City Kansas Latino Trail - 3 stops
Yes, I was in Kansas today! We have started the European Legacy Trail but instead of finishing that we started the Latino Trail. What I didn't realize until I got home was this trail only has 6 stops and I visited 4 of them today. If I had known I would have finished the trail.
The first stop was the Vega Field Park.
The Latino children were not allowed to play baseball with white children
so Vega made his own field so the kids could play.
Today it is a soccer field with a walking track.
It also has a very nice playground.
I found the marker.
Across the street was a mural for Vega.
I also found the police department.
That's downtown Kansas City Mo in the background.
On to the next stop.
St. John the Divine
This church is a combination of two churches after the first was destroyed.
That little square on the right caught my eye.
High Water Mark from a flood June 1, 1903
The camera is level with my head and I'm 5'2.
It must be close to 10 feet.
The last stop for this post is the Argentine History Mural that we have seen before.
That's it for today.
Until tomorrow.

Winstead's
This diner has been around since the 1940s. Time to check it out.
It's on the same corner as Massasoit.
He has not been weeded lately.
It even has a jukebox.
The Cherry Limeade has lime sherbet!
Wow!

I had read about this so I was expecting it.
A full slice of onion.
I thought it was wonderful. I'll go further and said it's the best burger I have had in Kansas City so far. The cherry limeade was out of this world. The world should put lime sherbet in every limeade ever made. The banana split is $5.29. Yes, I will go back.
This was behind the building.
Spirit's Delight
This is the public library on the other side of the creek.
The streetcar stop is right here too.
I stopped by the library for a KC Farmer's Market Passport.
No, they still don't have them.
I sat down and worked on the puzzle. I would have taken a picture but a little girl had sat down.
I have never seen this sign before.
I will be taking puzzles to trade, probably tomorrow.
What a great day!
Until tomorrow.

Garden Spheres
While I was looking for the fountain at Antioch Park I found Garden Spheres.
There are 10 installed here.
What a nice surprise! I liked the ones with flowers the most. They were so pretty.
Until tomorrow.

Art exhibit at Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center
I found the most wonderful exhibit. Sarah Nguyen is the artist.
It's cutout of paper.
So beautiful.
I could never do something like this.
They were displayed down this hall.
Just a beautiful display. I was just amazed.
Until tomorrow.
